About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for Grindr’s consumer ads business, with a focus on building ads experiences that improve monetization without compromising user trust or product quality.
  • Serve as the product SME and primary product partner for ads, working closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Ads Sales, and senior leadership to define priorities and drive execution.
  • Build and scale a stronger rewarded ads portfolio, identifying where ads can create value for users and where existing experiences need to be improved, reduced, or rethought.
  • Translate business goals, advertiser needs, and user experience signals into clear product bets, sequencing, and success metrics.
  • Partner with technical teams on ads platform, ad formats, delivery systems, and measurement — with working familiarity with programmatic advertising, mobile ad mediation, and the broader ad delivery ecosystem.
  • Use data, experimentation, and market insight to evaluate ads performance, diagnose issues, and identify opportunities that directly impact Grindr’s bottom line.
  • Diagnose supply quality issues and optimize publisher-side ad logic, with the ability to design and test novel monetization approaches on top of existing mediation infrastructure.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, including meaningful ownership of consumer-facing ads, ads monetization, rewarded ads, or adjacent monetization products.
  • Strong consumer product judgment, with a track record of building experiences that balance user needs, business outcomes, and technical constraints.
  • Experience partnering with technical teams on ads platforms, ad formats, measurement, delivery, or monetization infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to define strategy, build roadmaps, and execute through ambiguity as a senior IC across multiple cross-functional partners.
  • Strong data fluency, including comfort using metrics, experimentation, and performance analysis to make product decisions.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and operating as the product point of contact for a complex, business-critical domain.
