About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor and inspect wastewater ponds, lagoons, and containment systems to ensure proper operation and environmental compliance
Collect water, sludge, and soil samples for laboratory testing and analysis
Conduct routine field inspections to evaluate pond conditions, water levels, aeration systems, and overall site performance
Record and maintain accurate environmental data, inspection logs, and compliance documentation
Analyze environmental trends and identify potential operational or environmental concerns
Assist with stormwater management, runoff prevention, and erosion control measures
Coordinate with operations teams, environmental agencies, and laboratory personnel as needed
Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, state environmental regulations, and company environmental policies
Assist in preparing reports related to environmental monitoring, sampling results, and corrective actions
Support pond maintenance activities including vegetation management, pump inspections, and equipment monitoring
Identify and report safety hazards, spills, leaks, or environmental incidents immediately
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred
Previous experience in wastewater treatment, environmental monitoring, pond management, or related environmental field preferred
Knowledge of environmental regulations, sampling procedures, and water quality analysis preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and environmental reporting systems
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
