About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the entire tender process – from analysis of RFQs to final bid submission, including technical, commercial and contractual requirements.
  • Build and maintain a network of subcontractors (civil, electrical, mechanical) in Germany, focusing on cost structures, performance and availability.
  • Maintain relationships with project developers, utilities and industry partners – you will be the primary contact during the bidding phase.
  • Review EPC contracts and project agreements, identify risks and optimize contract terms in coordination with the legal department.
  • Experience with large-scale photovoltaic projects (utility-scale) – additional experience with C&I solar projects is a plus.
  • Close collaboration with engineering, procurement and finance to ensure accurate costing, resource planning and compliance.
  • Provide market intelligence on price developments, competitor activity and industry trends to optimize bidding strategy.
  • Ensure that all bids meet client requirements, quality standards and deadlines.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in bid preparation in the photovoltaic sector or a comparable field is desirable.
  • Experience in bid management, business development or project contracting (EPC/construction projects in the renewable energy sector) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the German subcontractor market (civil, electrical, mechanical) and experience with utility-scale solar projects are desirable.
  • Solid understanding of cost structures, economic feasibility analyses and German and European regulations for renewable energies.
  • Confident handling of tender processes, contract review and cost calculations.
  • Advantageous: experience with PVsyst and AutoCAD.
  • Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
