About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide experienced veterinary nursing support across multiple clinic environments
- Assist veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery and assist in theatre
- Monitor anaesthesia and support post-operative recovery
- Administer medications and treatments
- Collect samples and perform diagnostic testing
- Provide hospital and inpatient care
- Assist with emergency and urgent care cases when required
- Maintain patient records and treatment plans
- Provide exceptional client communication and education
- Support reception and administrative duties when needed
- Maintain hygiene, infection control, and clinical standards throughout the clinic
- Support clinics during periods of leave, high demand, and additional staffing requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- 2–3+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
- Confidence across medical, surgical, and hospital nursing
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Ability to adapt quickly to unfamiliar clinic environments
- Excellent anaesthetic monitoring skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organised, reliable, and professional
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Willingness to travel between clinics throughout the Brisbane West Region
