Project Excellence Manager – PMO

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You will lead and manage strategically relevant pilot and flagship projects within the COO area, ensuring a structured implementation from concept to successful integration into the organization.
- You will work closely with business units and stakeholders and make a significant contribution to the further development of our project governance, processes and collaboration.
- Plan, control and coordinate pilot projects and lead project teams.
- Ensure structured and successful project delivery against defined objectives, timelines and quality requirements.
- Introduce project results into the organization through standards and guidelines.
- Develop and establish project management processes, including milestones, quality gates and standards.
- Build and further develop best practices, templates and how-to guides.
- Identify and optimize interfaces within the COO area and with adjacent functions.
- Build and enhance a structured reporting system.
- Create, optimise and deliver regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and data-based decision-making materials for management.
- Work closely with business units to continuously improve the project landscape.
- Promote transparent processes and efficient collaboration across departmental boundaries.
- Support the establishment of a sustainable project and governance culture.
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in business, engineering, project management or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in project management, PMO or a similar role.
- Solid knowledge in managing complex projects and in building governance structures.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. Jira) as well as reporting and BI tools.
- Strong analytical skills and experience preparing data for management decisions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Structured, self‑driven and solution‑oriented working style.
- Confident manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Very good German (C1) and good English (B2).
