About the role

  • Do you want to actively shape the energy transition? As a Technical Project Manager / Engineer (m/f/d) for grid integration, you will play a key role in designing the grid connection of our large-scale battery storage projects.
  • You assess sites, develop technical concepts, and ensure our BESS plants are safely and efficiently connected to the power grid.
  • Provide technical support for project development: evaluate grid connection feasibility for potential sites, identify technical risks, and prepare preliminary concepts and cost estimates for grid connection substations and transformer stations.
  • Conduct technical coordination with grid operators: clarify TAB requirements and obtain feasibility confirmations.
  • Design and plan medium- and high-voltage systems (grid connection substations, substations/transformer stations, switchgear, transformers).
  • Coordinate external engineering partners and suppliers.
  • Coordinate acceptance and commissioning.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Electrical Energy Systems or a comparable field
  • Experience with medium- and high-voltage switchgear
  • Preferably initial experience in protection and metering technology
  • Preferably experience with VDE-AR-N 4110/4120 (MV) and Technical Connection Conditions (TABs)
  • German language proficiency at C2 level
