About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials
- Prepare thoughtful lessons and cultivate an orderly, joyful classroom
- Provide academic support to students and monitor progress
- Partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs
- Uphold and model Great Hearts culture, policies, dress code, conduct, and safety procedures
- Communicate with families, initiate conferences as needed, and foster home-school partnerships
- Participate in faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and ongoing professional growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
- Certification is not required for general education
- All majors are welcome
- US Work Authorization is required
- Successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements
- May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities
