About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and deliver GWW’s technology, digital and cyber security strategy
  • Provide strategic advice to executive leaders on technology trends, innovation, data, AI and digital transformation
  • Lead enterprise technology investment, architecture and portfolio delivery
  • Oversee cyber security, technology risk and resilience, maintaining regulatory and industry compliance
  • Drive data governance, analytics, automation and AI capabilities
  • Lead technology operations, infrastructure, applications and support services
  • Build and manage strategic vendor partnerships, technology budgets and third-party performance
  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture and develop team capability
  • Champion safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide strategy and decision-making as a Senior Leadership Team member
  • Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience leading enterprise-scale technology functions, strategy and transformation
  • Proven success building and developing high-performing, diverse teams
  • Strong expertise in cyber security, cloud, digital transformation, data governance and technology operations
  • Demonstrated executive leadership, commercial acumen, financial management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience delivering large-scale technology programs, system modernisation and digital initiatives
  • Proven ability to influence Boards, executives and senior stakeholders and build strategic partnerships
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts and technology investments
  • Demonstrated success driving innovation, continuous improvement, organisational change, automation and AI adoption
  • Experience within large, complex and/or regulated environments, with knowledge of risk, compliance and governance
  • Understanding of data, analytics, AI, service management, disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline
  • Project management qualifications, Agile/Waterfall experience, and knowledge of SCADA and IT/OT environments are desirable
  • Resume and cover letter of no more than 1 page
  • Successful candidate must complete reference checks, medical assessments, national police and SOCI checks, and verification of working rights in Australia
