Lead and develop one to two agile development teams (4-8 engineers), providing coaching, mentorship, and career development to continue building our high-performing, collaborative engineering organization.
Partner closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, ensuring teams have clear priorities, well-defined requirements, and the resources needed to deliver high-impact features
Own team delivery and operational metrics, removing blockers, managing technical dependencies, and ensuring predictable sprint execution and on-time delivery of committed features
Collaborate with leadership to align technical decisions with business goals and deliver outstanding customer value.
Participate in technical decision-making and architecture discussions, balancing near-term delivery needs with long-term platform scalability, maintainability, and technical debt management
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives, implementing process refinements, and promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams
Contribute to the broader engineering organization by participating in hiring, defining team standards and processes, and helping shape Great Gray's engineering culture as the technology team scales

Requirements

7+ years of experience shipping great software, 3+ years with web applications.
Very strong written and verbal communication skills, prioritizing clarity.
Technical background in modern web application development (compiled object-oriented languages such as C#/Java, and frontend frameworks like Angular/React/Next.js)
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, working effectively with Product, Design, QA, and other engineering teams.
