Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and shape the clinical education experience for respiratory therapy students across diverse healthcare settings.
Oversee the design, coordination, and continuous improvement of clinical learning experiences.
Organize and manage clinical placements.
Evaluate program effectiveness, and foster strong partnerships with clinical sites and preceptors.
Provide oversight and support to part-time faculty delivering instruction in remote locations.
Actively teach students throughout Nevada using in-person, Zoom, and online platforms.
Make a meaningful impact on rural healthcare workforce development while working in a flexible, student-centered environment.
Travel within the GBC service area as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of four (4) years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care.
Current or ability to obtain Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst POCA or Blood Gas Technologist license required within 120 days of hire.
Excellence with written and verbal communication.
Strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and supportively with students, colleagues, and clinical partners.
Teaching experience preferred.
