About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and shape the clinical education experience for respiratory therapy students across diverse healthcare settings.
- Oversee the design, coordination, and continuous improvement of clinical learning experiences.
- Organize and manage clinical placements.
- Evaluate program effectiveness, and foster strong partnerships with clinical sites and preceptors.
- Provide oversight and support to part-time faculty delivering instruction in remote locations.
- Actively teach students throughout Nevada using in-person, Zoom, and online platforms.
- Make a meaningful impact on rural healthcare workforce development while working in a flexible, student-centered environment.
- Travel within the GBC service area as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of four (4) years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care.
- Current or ability to obtain Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst POCA or Blood Gas Technologist license required within 120 days of hire.
- Excellence with written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and supportively with students, colleagues, and clinical partners.
- Teaching experience preferred.
