About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and shape the clinical education experience for respiratory therapy students across diverse healthcare settings.
  • Oversee the design, coordination, and continuous improvement of clinical learning experiences.
  • Organize and manage clinical placements.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, and foster strong partnerships with clinical sites and preceptors.
  • Provide oversight and support to part-time faculty delivering instruction in remote locations.
  • Actively teach students throughout Nevada using in-person, Zoom, and online platforms.
  • Make a meaningful impact on rural healthcare workforce development while working in a flexible, student-centered environment.
  • Travel within the GBC service area as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of four (4) years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care.
  • Current or ability to obtain Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst POCA or Blood Gas Technologist license required within 120 days of hire.
  • Excellence with written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and supportively with students, colleagues, and clinical partners.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
