About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and structure data domains tailored to insurance regulatory reporting, statutory accounting, and capital requirements — defining granularity, business logic, and data ownership from scratch where needed.
  • Own source-to-target mapping end-to-end — extract, transform, enrich, cleanse, and map data from messy source systems into clean, reliable outputs.
  • Translate nuanced regulatory and statutory accounting needs into explicit, build-ready requirements for technology teams or external vendors.
  • Apply deep regulatory accounting knowledge to identify edge cases, clarify requirements, and prevent the wrong data from being pulled into statutory reports.
  • Operate with minimal ramp-up — whether you've worked inside a comparable firm or come from a strong treasury/risk data background, you're expected to orient quickly and drive work forward without heavy training.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with regulatory and capital requirements, capital-focused work and aggregation method.
  • Deep familiarity with data domain creation — you've personally built or restructured data domains, not just managed someone else doing it. Source-to-target mapping, data cleansing, enrichment, and transformation are core to your experience.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (ideally Snowflake) and CPM systems (ideally OneStream).
  • Experience with OneStream and/or Snowflake preferred.
  • You are based in Toronto, Canada or in Des Moines, IA; Los Angeles, CA; or New York, or are open to relocating to any of these offices.
