About the role
- Assess existence of a resource deprovisioning/offboarding process and perform consumption analysis.
- Evaluate the multicloud billing process managed by the broker (technical consistency, transparency, traceability, integrity and compliance with multicloud contracts).
- Evaluate the integration process between Billing × Architecture × FinOps (ensure technical decisions consider impact on future billing; consumption observed by the broker is used to correct architecture and provide feedback between cost, engineering and architecture).
- Determine whether the company is aware of and evaluates the use of native resources available from contracted CSPs (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.), especially with regard to cost and predictability.
- Assess whether a cost-benefit analysis is performed before deciding on the architecture to be used (cross-cloud traffic, premium services, lock-in).
- Participate in technical discussions and meetings to understand and evaluate the multicloud environment.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in multicloud environments (AWS and Azure).
- Experience with environments that use more than one CSP in parallel.
- Critical analysis of excessive dependence on a single CSP and lock-in risks; assess architectural impacts of financial decisions.
- Clear understanding of FinOps principles and the relationship between technical consumption and cost (required).
- Experience evaluating consumption, waste and efficiency in cloud environments (required).
- Ability to analyze the impact of architecture on cost and weigh technical decisions against financial impact (required).
- Experience evaluating Cloud Broker models and multicloud billing processes (required).
- Ability to benchmark and provide market references regarding models adopted by large companies and industry best practices.
- Ability to present alternatives, standards and practical approaches.
- Ability to discuss technical topics at a high level, taking into account market trends and cloud solutions.
- University degree (Bachelor’s) in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology or Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate English (desired).
- Availability to work in a temporary capacity.
