About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP)
- Manage and develop CI/CD platforms
- Automate build, release, and deployment processes
- Develop application configuration management tooling
- Automate software updates
- Manage artefacts
- Work with application development and security teams to implement requirements
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting Platform tooling
- Help set the squad roadmap and decide priorities
- Design, compare, and select solutions for platform productivity systems
- Maintain, improve, extend, and gracefully sunset existing systems
- Develop next-generation CI/CD systems and automation runner infrastructure
- Develop security automation within CI/CD systems
- Develop AI-backed tooling for internal users
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering/software development experience within a Platform group delivering services to internal engineering teams
- Experience working in a cloud environment
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform/Crossplane
- Familiarity with Kubernetes administration; Tanka experience is a plus
- Experience or interest in implementing, integrating, and maintaining observability systems and processes
- Comfortable working in a remote-first company
- Experience operating code in production
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Ability to work with Go and shell scripts as appropriate
- Participation in on-call rotations
