About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP)
Manage and develop CI/CD platforms
Automate build, release, and deployment processes
Develop application configuration management tooling
Automate keeping software up to date
Manage artefacts
Work with application development, security, and other internal teams to support their requirements
Participate in an on-call rotation supporting Platform tooling
Set and contribute to the squad roadmap
Design, compare, and select appropriate technical solutions
Help maintain, improve, extend, and gracefully sunset systems
Develop next-generation CI/CD systems, automation runner infrastructure, artefact management, security automation, and AI-backed internal support tooling

Requirements

What you’ll need

Engineering/software development experience within a Platform group delivering services to internal engineering teams
Experience working in a cloud environment
Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform/Crossplane
Familiarity with Kubernetes administration
Experience or interest in implementing, integrating, and maintaining observability systems and processes
Comfortable working in a remote-first company
Experience operating code
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Experience with Infrastructure as Code
Flexibility with programming languages and tools, primarily Go and shell scripting
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
