About the role

Enhance the querying experience within a Grafana data source
Investigate and resolve configuration issues
Support the reliability and operations of data sources in Grafana Cloud
Collaborate with engineers and teams across the Grafana division
Build and maintain open-source data source plugins in partnership with CSPs and ISVs
Implement and extend new APIs to ensure plugins offer a robust and fully featured experience

Comfortable working in a remote-first company; strong communication skills
Passionate about building user-facing open-source software
Professional experience as a Full-stack Engineer with expertise in Go, React, Typescript and microservices
Working with Microsoft Azure, including familiarity with the Azure Portal, and Azure Monitor
Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks
Backend technologies: Go and familiarity with other backend languages
Frontend technologies: React and TypeScript
Configuration technologies: Jsonnet and Terraform
Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems
Monitoring and observability: Familiarity with tools like Grafana, Prometheus or other observability platforms
