About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide the long-term editorial strategy to align with TDGC’s business strategy, brand positioning, and publishing goals.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy Team on product strategy and implementation.
  • Participate in the Leadership Team and Strategy Team.
  • Cascade and communicate the company vision and business strategy regularly.
  • Lead and develop a team of editors by providing feedback and accountability.
  • Create comprehensive processes that support not only editorial excellence, but also maximize efficient handoffs between departments.
  • Provide training and development plans for all team members.
  • Facilitate weekly check-ins, team meetings, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement an editorial workflow that implements industry best practices to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality.
  • Oversee the development of all written content to ensure theological accuracy, biblical integrity, and a clear, engaging structure that aligns with TDGC’s mission.
  • Review and approve outlines and final proofs.
  • Establish and enforce editorial standards and style guides across all content and in all stages of the product development process.
  • Work closely with content, design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure cohesive messaging and seamless execution of various deadlines.
  • Oversee the editorial calendar, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s in Theology, English, or related field preferred
  • Deep theological understanding aligned with TDGC’s statement of faith
  • 5+ years in writing, teaching, or editorial roles
  • 5+ years in leadership or management
  • Strong attention to detail and editorial process development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in publishing or Bible study content is preferred
  • Understand how AI integrates into your role
