About the role

  • Build and operate observability solutions ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of GTF cloud infrastructure
  • Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to provide visibility into production environments
  • Enable distributed tracing adoption within GTF engineering
  • Integrate logging, metrics, and distributed tracing and integrate features into gtflabs.sh and Barito Market
  • Develop pricing schema and prepare internal observability products for sale
  • Develop automation for monitoring, logging, and tracing to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
  • Ensure high availability and performance of the observability platform through proactive tuning and scaling
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and product engineering teams to integrate observability best practices across services

Requirements

  • Contribute to creating RFC, designing systems for new features, implementing detailed tasks
  • Migrate services from 3rd-party observability platforms to an internal product
  • Contribute to user interface & user experience improvement
  • Code products, features, automation & operational tasks
  • Strong experience in observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) and related tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, Loki, VictoriaMetric, Tempo, VictoriaLog)
  • Ability to debug and optimize observability pipelines, improving log ingestion, metrics storage, and alerting efficiency
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving system visibility and reliability
