Job Level

About the role

  • Develop deep understanding of client data environments, data stores, and business processes
  • Act as a primary steward for the enterprise data catalog and metadata management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Purview)
  • Support and enforce data governance, lineage, and data quality practices across analytics and software products
  • Perform data analysis, research, and querying to support operational, compliance, and BI use cases
  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory
  • Apply PySpark for large-scale data processing and advanced analytics
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Data Architects on data modeling and platform initiatives
  • Support Agile teams by creating and refining data models, features, and user stories
  • Actively manage and deliver items from the data product backlog
  • Maintain and extend enterprise data warehouses and compliance-focused data stores
  • Build and maintain enterprise reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
  • Learn and apply industry data standards (e.g., MISMO, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) as required by the client
  • Contribute positively to Gorilla Logic’s collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in information technology, data analysis, or data engineering roles
  • Strong passion for data quality, governance, and data-driven decision-making
  • Advanced experience with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling techniques
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory (ETL/ELT)
  • Proficiency with PySpark for scalable data processing
  • Experience building reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and SSRS
  • Ability to read and work with XML and JSON data formats
  • Solid understanding of APIs and system integration concepts
  • Experience implementing or maintaining data catalogs and lineage tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Alation)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and user stories
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in Agile, distributed teams
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry
  • Familiarity with MISMO reference models and standards
  • Prior experience working in a consulting or client-facing delivery model
