About the role
- Translate customer insights and market trends into sketches, CAD files, and design concepts
- Create original patterns, textures, and finishes that align with brand aesthetics
- Produce renderings and models to communicate design intent to suppliers and internal teams
- Collaborate with sourcing and vendors to iterate on samples for feasibility and manufacturability
- Support packaging refinement and visual consistency through product renderings
- Ensure cohesive branding across product lines, including logo placement and finishes
- Maintain organized design documentation and version control
- Stay current with design trends, materials, and manufacturing innovations
- Participate in sample reviews and propose improvements for cost, quality, and user experience
- Work closely with Product Development, Sourcing, QA, and Creative teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to production
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in consumer product or industrial design (housewares, pet, or outdoor products preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D visualization tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, Fusion 360, KeyShot)
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong sketching, rendering, and visualization abilities
- Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, metal fabrication, soft goods)
- Knowledge of surface design, pattern development, and CMF trends
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across internal and external teams
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with project management tools like Monday.com is a plus
