About the role
- Develop and grow a world-class team of Brand and Product Designers.
- Create design processes that champion an iterative, fast-paced, data-driven design philosophy.
- Partner with Product leadership to craft a product vision.
- Bring world-class design and brand taste to modernize community engagement tools.
- Develop user research best practices and ensure consistent feedback loops.
- Elevate Goodparty.org’s brand and visual identity.
- Champion the use of AI across the team and set standards emphasizing velocity.
- Obsess over the user experience and design accessible interfaces.
- Maintain high empathy in all facets of team’s work.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience leading Design teams in a consumer internet company or a consumer-quality SaaS company.
- Managed a team of at least 3 direct reports.
- 3+ years as an individual contributor, totaling 5+ years of product design experience.
- Highly skilled in responsive web design and native mobile applications.
- Proficient with design tools like Figma, Maze, etc.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Strong User Research practices.
- Strong communication skills and storytelling ability.
