About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other compliance requirements.
Prepare financial statements and Australian income tax returns for various entity types.
Manage end-to-end accounting and taxation processes for Australian clients.
Review financial records and ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations and accounting standards.
Work with business structures including Companies and Trusts, providing accurate accounting and tax support.
Communicate with internal stakeholders and Australian-based teams to resolve client queries and ensure timely deliverables.
Maintain accurate working papers and supporting documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to best-practice accounting workflows.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience working with an Australian accounting firm or servicing Australian clients.
Proven ability to independently prepare and complete: Business Activity Statements (BAS), Financial Statements, Australian Tax Returns
Strong understanding of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
Deep familiarity with common Australian commercial structures, particularly Companies and Trusts.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
