About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop loan production matrices for production staff to increase growth and market share
Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to drive consistent performance
Foster a positive and engaging work environment through skill development, coaching, and morale-building
Work with leadership to implement the Home Loans Strategy
Develop business-to-business relationships with Realtors, builders, associations, and alliance groups
Attend tradeshows, conferences, financial workshops, President’s Club events, and other business-related events
Initiate promotional materials with Marketing and other business areas
Provide monthly activity reports detailing events, attendance, purpose, and business benefits
Develop, coach, and support HLA staff
Participate in, communicate, and implement Home Loans policies and procedures
Maintain understanding of applicable state and federal laws, credit union compliance, bank secrecy, and anti-money-laundering requirements
Develop and maintain regulatory risk controls and ensure operational integrity and compliance
Travel within the region and California as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Four or more years in Mortgage Sales Management
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Current connections and contacts within the Mortgage and Real Estate industries
Current knowledge of FNMA requirements, Real Estate and Equity products, Credit Union operations, and related regulations and policies
Leadership ability and ability to motivate and inspire
Proven ability to meet or exceed individual and team service and production goals
Effective oral and written communication skills
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate computers and standard office equipment
MLO/NMLS Registration required under the S.A.F.E. Act
Ability to travel weekly locally to statewide by car or public conveyance
Corrected vision within the normal range
Hearing within normal range; a hearing enhancement device will be provided if needed
Ability to work unusually long or inconsistent hours when required
