About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and internal requirements, including BSA/AML, CIP, and OFAC.
  • Process a high volume of indirect auto loan applications and communications while prioritizing complex files and escalations.
  • Meet quality assurance, productivity, timeliness, service-level, and turnaround-time standards.
  • Analyze quality results and rework trends, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement efforts, including job aids, knowledge sharing, workflow enhancements, and control refinements.
  • Deliver service to dealers, members, and internal partners and own escalations through timely resolution.
  • Review application data and documentation, clear complex stipulations, resolve exceptions, perform validations, and update systems accurately.
  • Obtain, validate, and track DMV documentation to support lien perfection and proper collateral recording.
  • Partner with branches, Member Service, Vehicle Services, Dealer Relationship Managers, and back-office teams to resolve escalations and coordinate handoffs.
  • Audit executed loan documents and operational reports for signatures, dates, disclosures, indexing, filing, and procedural compliance.
  • Provide guidance on lending policies, procedures, systems, policy interpretation, and documentation standards.
  • Support email, Teams chat, escalated calls, audits, targeted reviews, onboarding, and training.
  • Identify and mitigate fraud, suspicious activity, and identity theft risks and escalate findings appropriately.
  • Conduct member interviews, perform financial calculations and proof-of-income analyses, validate loan conditions, and confirm funding readiness.
  • Prepare and quality-check loan documents, monitor executed documents, clear conditions, and coordinate approved loans for disbursement.
  • Resolve non-routine exceptions, determine escalation paths, and balance compliance, risk mitigation, and funding timeliness.
  • Manage shared work queues and provide triage and prioritization support during peak volumes.
  • Participate in video conferences, trainings, meetings, huddles, and peer knowledge-transfer activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent required
  • Associate’s Degree or some college preferred
  • 4+ years in a fast-paced lending or high-volume loan-processing work environment required
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex loan files and resolve escalations
  • Ability to consistently meet quality, compliance, productivity, service-level, and turnaround-time standards
  • Advanced knowledge of indirect loan processing
  • Current knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, regulations, BSA/AML, CIP, OFAC, and internal requirements
  • Knowledge of lending policies, procedures, and systems
  • Ability to review application data and supporting documentation for consistency, completeness, and compliance
  • Ability to clear complex stipulations and resolve contract, payoff, proof-of-income, insurance, registration, and title exceptions
  • Knowledge of DMV documentation, lien perfection, out-of-state titles, dealer payoffs, lien releases, registration holds, and corrections
  • Ability to perform financial calculations, proof-of-income analysis, member interviews, research, and validations
  • Ability to identify fraud, suspicious activity, identity theft, red flags, and potential loss exposure
