About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assisting attorneys in preparing civil litigation matters for trial
  • Work with clients to receive discovery documents such as medical records, billing records, employment files, video footage from accident, etc.
  • Review discovery materials – analyze and summarize medical records
  • Draft motions and discovery responses as well as other documents
  • Draft and send out Subpoenas to providers and records retrieval companies
  • Set up independent medical examinations (IMEs)
  • Prepare for trial

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in the legal field; experience with insurance defense general liability work preferred
  • Experience in civil litigation is a plus, but not required
  • Paralegal certificate or other related degree is a plus but not required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
