About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- This is a 100% sales-focused role within the French public sector market (6- to 12-month sales cycle aligned with public procurement and budget calendars).
- Your mission: Develop your commercial strategy, implement an effective action plan, and execute it with intensity.
- Your objective: Grow accounts and revenue within your territory through upselling, cross-selling, and contract renewals.
- Teamwork: Collaborate closely with the Customer Success teams to nurture, expand, and maximize the value of public sector accounts.
- Travel, trade shows & networking: Represent goFLUENT at specialized trade fairs and public sector networking events, while managing client meetings within your territory.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience: At least 1 year of successful B2B sales experience.
- Exposure to the public sector (central administration, local authorities, hospitals, universities, government agencies), SaaS, or knowledge of public procurement processes is a plus.
- Hard skills: Ability to sell consultatively in client environments involving multiple stakeholders (HR, Learning & Development, Procurement, Executive Management, and sometimes elected officials).
- Willingness to understand public sector budgeting and decision-making cycles.
- Soft skills: Organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and analytical.
- Comfortable balancing high-level strategic objectives with unexpected requests and navigating complex public organizations with multiple layers.
- Learning & growth mindset: You have a genuine desire to learn — about the role, the public sector, your clients, and your colleagues.
- You actively seek feedback, experiment, iterate, and improve.
- You view every meeting, every tender process, and every setback as an opportunity to grow.
- Expected mindset: You fully own your territory.
- Cultural fit: Autonomous, proactive, comfortable in a fast-paced and business-oriented environment, while also able to adapt your approach to public sector culture and expectations.
- Languages: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in French (native or fluent) and English (minimum B2 level).
