About the role
- Preparation and monitoring of the annual Budget and Rolling Forecast, analyzing variances (Budget vs. Actual) with a focus on headcount variances and infrastructure costs.
- Variance Analysis (Actual vs. Budget): Investigate root causes of revenue and expense variances, proposing corrective action plans together with cost center managers.
- Monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators.
- Ensure revenue recognition complies with IFRS 15 / CPC 47, especially for complex implementation + subscription contracts.
- Process Improvement: Work on automating financial routines and integrating data between the company's systems and the ERP.
- Monthly Close: Support accounting during the management close, ensuring provisions and allocations reflect the economic reality.
- Strategic Dashboards: Develop and maintain performance indicators (KPIs) in BI tools, focusing on metrics such as EBITDA, Contribution Margin, ROIC and Cash Conversion Cycle.
- Reporting Package: Prepare reports for headquarters or investors, ensuring compliance with international standards (IFRS/US GAAP).
- Margin Analysis: Evaluate profitability by product, channel or customer, identifying operational bottlenecks.
- Expense Control: Monitor SG&A (Selling, General and Administrative Expenses) and pursue opportunities to optimize fixed and variable costs.
- Risk Management: Identify process failures that could lead to financial losses or tax penalties.
- Audit: Act as the focal point for external and internal audits, ensuring company policies are followed.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics is preferred.
- Postgraduate degree in Controllership or Finance is required.
- Experience in controllership or auditing (Big Four experience is highly valued).
- Accounting: Strong command of IFRS and Brazilian accounting standards (CPC).
- Tools:
- Excel: Expert level (Power Query, macros, complex financial modeling).
- ERP: Experience with robust systems (NetSuite, SAP, Totvs or Oracle).
- BI & Data: Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or Looker. Basic SQL skills are an important differential for process automation.
