Key responsibilities & impact

Work in the mass-market insurance systems area
Develop and maintain Java Full Stack applications
Develop and maintain front-end using Angular
Maintain and evolve legacy systems
Implement and integrate REST APIs between services
Work with Oracle databases using Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, MyBatis and SQL queries
Use RabbitMQ/Spring AMQP for queues, consumers and producers
Diagnose issues across UI, business logic, SQL and external integrations
Work with configuration profiles and controlled deployments across development, staging and production environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree completed or in advanced progress in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields
Proven experience of 2+ years in Java development in corporate environments
Experience developing and maintaining front-end applications with Angular
Experience maintaining and evolving legacy systems
Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot (MVC, dependency injection, transactions)
Spring Data JPA / Hibernate with Oracle databases
MyBatis (XML mappers and SQL queries)
REST APIs (@RestController, JSON serialization, HTTP-based service integrations)
RabbitMQ / Spring AMQP (concepts of queues, consumers and producers)
Maven and dependency management
Angular (components, modules, services, routing, pipes, directives)
TypeScript, RxJS and consuming REST APIs on the front end
Reactive forms, validations and handling UI states (loading, error, success)
Builds with Angular CLI
Familiarity with traditional web applications: JSP, JSTL, servlets
JavaScript (jQuery), Bootstrap 3 and table components (DataTables)
Git, IDEs (IntelliJ/Eclipse, VS Code), Lombok
Reading and interpreting logs
Ability to diagnose issues by correlating across layers: UI, business rules, SQL and external integrations
Experience in environments with configuration profiles and controlled deployments (dev, staging, production)
