About the role

  • Legal and Political Translator - English to Navajo - Freelance/Remote.
  • Global Language Strategies, headquartered in Fairfax, VA, seeking a skilled Navajo translator and/or editor to render accurate and timely language services.

Requirements

  • Native speaker of Navajo and with near-native English language skills (i.e., reading/writing/speaking/listening)
  • At least 3 years of experience performing professional translation or editing services
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including the ability to use track changes/editing features
  • Knowledge of election terminology is a plus
  • Experience performing legal translations is a plus
