About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure stewardship and engaged communications with key donors
  • Create and manage lasting systems to maintain and advance partnerships with a range of foundations, corporations, and individuals
  • Partner with the Senior Director to cultivate, maintain, and advance relationships with a range of organizations
  • Own a portfolio of donors, prospects, and leads
  • Drive identification and research of new leads
  • Supervise and develop the Development Coordinator
  • Partner with the CEO to craft personalized, high-impact outreach to prospects and donors
  • Work closely with GHC's Communications team to develop external-facing materials
  • Manage quarterly update communications to key prospects, donors, and supporters
  • Develop, manage, and execute annual EOY and FY-close solicitation campaigns
  • Manage logistics for quarterly board meetings
  • Partner with the Senior Director and CEO to implement a robust Board engagement strategy
  • Contribute to event strategy in partnership with the CEO and Senior Director
  • Manage all logistics and communications for in-person and virtual fundraising events
  • Co-lead management of Salesforce donor database with GHC's Grants Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, public health, communications, business, or a related field a plus.
  • 4–7+ years of progressive experience in fundraising in a nonprofit or philanthropic sector role
  • Experience with donor communications, solicitation campaigns, and moves management
  • Prior supervisory or coaching experience preferred
  • Experience working in a global setting, with a range of stakeholders across the U.S. social impact and the global development/health sectors
  • Proficient in Salesforce or comparable CRM; experience with donor analytics and data hygiene strongly preferred
  • Familiar with fundraising platforms (e.g., Classy, Benevity) a plus
  • Strong written communication skills with experience drafting donor-facing materials
  • Comfort working in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office suite
