About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide static residential protection, physical security, and some executive protection
Provide close protection and security duties during domestic or global assignments
Conduct local area travel advances covering departures, arrivals, movements, routes, emergency actions, and threat vulnerabilities
Securely transport the client or family members to events and appointments
Manage family members while maintaining safety and security precautions
Respond to emergencies and perform medical first aid operations
De-escalate tense situations
Communicate vulnerabilities and safety concerns promptly
Communicate with clients and management through incident reports and administrative tools
Assist with protection schedules and team assignments
Operate and maintain protective, operational, communications equipment, and a vehicle
Identify and escalate equipment deficiencies, failures, and security gaps
Prepare mission plans and submit expense, closing, and other required reports
Assist with intelligence and other duties within the Command Post
Conduct area patrols around the designated site and report suspicious activity
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of security experience, including advanced planning, surveillance, counter-surveillance operations, and security driving
Experience conducting protection missions in domestic environments
High school diploma or GED
Basic medical first aid training
California BSIS Security Guard Permit
California BSIS Security Exposed Weapons Permit
California Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW)
Defensive driving tactics training/experience as an executive driver
Working knowledge of the San Francisco, California Area
Excellent verbal and written communication; second language skills preferred
Demonstrated experience developing relationships on assignments
Ability to maintain composure with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under urgency and pressure
Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to work with children and manage protection in a family environment
Valid driver's license
24/7 availability to the client while on a task
Ability to carry authorized weapons and ammunition, use protective gear and devices, and perform physical activities including extended sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and traversing uneven terrain
