About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and prepare Department of Energy training materials in technical subject areas
Conduct training on classification and sensitive information policies, guidelines, and procedures at DOE facilities
Manage courses and syllabi for experienced trainers
Teach courses in nuclear weapons design and military utilization, nuclear weapons safeguards and security, and classification and declassification policy
Travel occasionally for short durations, estimated at 3–4 weeks per year

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active DoD Top Secret security clearance or active DOE Q security clearance
At least 2 years of direct training experience
Experience with modern training techniques, including course syllabus development, student evaluations, recognition of individual student requirements, and computer-based training systems
At least 2 years of experience with classified information and its safeguarding
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Expertise in at least one relevant training area
Must commit to obtaining DOE Derivative Classifier, Derivative Declassifier, and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information Reviewing Official certifications within a prescribed period if not already qualified
Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline is highly desirable
