Game Producer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establishing and optimizing the game development pipeline to ensure smooth and efficient workflows across production.
- Developing and managing project budgets, resource allocation, and production schedules.
- Collaborating with production staff to break down project scope and ensuring they remain within budget and timeline constraints.
- Strategically planning and setting milestones, deliverables, and deadlines across all departments.
- Supervising day-to-day operations and working closely with game development teams and leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
- Orchestrating and leading production meetings, schedule planning, and status updates.
- Tracking project health, identifying production risks, and proactively implementing solutions to keep development on track.
- Managing personnel, including resolving conflicts and maintaining a productive team environment.
- Working with leadership and HR to identify staffing needs and assisting in recruitment and onboarding processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience in game development or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent production strategy and decision-making skills.
- Experience in budget and scope management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and management skills.
- Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g. Jira).
- Strong understanding of game development pipelines and cross-disciplinary workflows across engineering, design, art, and QA.
- Expertise in optimizing team composition and identifying necessary roles.
- Nice to have: Experience shipping games on PC, console, or mobile platforms.
- Nice to have: Experience in recruitment and staff development.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with game development methodologies.
- Nice to have: Strong creative instincts and an understanding of the game development process.
- Nice to have: Engaging personality and willingness to learn.
- Nice to have: Positive, go-getter attitude with a passion for making things.
- Nice to have: An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.
