Glitch Productions

Head of Production leading game initiatives at Glitch Productions. Responsible for building teams and production infrastructure for games based on Glitch’s IP.

Posted 6/17/2026full-timeRemote • 🇦🇺 AustraliaLeadWebsite

About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the full games studio operation end-to-end: structure, process, tooling, hiring, and delivery.
  • Build production infrastructure from scratch, including pipelines, project management systems, tools, milestone tracking, and communication workflows.
  • Lead and grow the team, hiring across engineering, design, art, QA, and production disciplines in alignment with project needs.
  • Oversee day-to-day development on several active titles in planning, ensuring quality, timeline, and budget targets are met.
  • Establish version control, asset pipelines, documentation and QA processes appropriate to the team's scale and engine choices.
  • Work directly with the CEO to align production priorities, staffing plans, budgets, and delivery goals across the games portfolio.
  • Establish a studio culture that reflects Glitch's values: skilled, kind, ambitious people doing work they're proud of.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, publishers, platforms, and contractors as needed.
  • Build and manage relationships with external platforms (Steam, consoles, mobile), publishers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Report regularly on project health, resourcing gaps, risks, and milestones.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven track record shipping games in a senior leadership capacity, with responsibility for team building, production, staffing, budgeting, and delivery.
  • Hands-on experience building studio infrastructure from early stages, not just inheriting mature pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of both game development craft and the management side of running a studio.
  • Strong command of engine and tooling decisions and the downstream hiring and pipeline implications they create.
  • Experience making early org design calls: which roles to hire first, how to structure shared vs. siloed resources, and how to scale without over-hiring.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire and retain great people and build high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and making sound decisions without established playbooks.
  • Excellent communicator who can work cross-functionally with creative, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Deep passion for games and what GLITCH stands for.
  • Nice to have Experience in studios adjacent to animation, film, or transmedia IP.
  • Background shipping titles that originated from existing entertainment properties or fanbases.
  • Familiarity with indie/mid-size team structures and resource-constrained production.

Benefits

Comp & perks
  • Full ownership and opportunity to build and lead the production for games at a studio with a globally recognised IP and a passionate fanbase.
  • Direct line to the CEO and meaningful input into business strategy.
  • Competitive salary and package commensurate with experience.
  • Remote-friendly with flexibility on location.
  • The chance to build something genuinely new, with the creative and commercial foundation already in place.
