About the role

  • Partner with Product, Design, another other stakeholders to understand customer needs and design the right solutions for them.
  • Lead the design and implementation of major product and platform changes across Glade’s software stack.
  • Continually raise the bar for the engineering organization by providing technical oversight and mentorship, building tooling, and improving engineering processes.
  • Operate fluently across the full product lifecycle from design and implementation to production.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in leadership or staff/principal roles.
  • Have a strong understanding of engineering principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies with our technology stack: TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL
  • Have meaningful experience with building (and rebuilding) production systems to deliver new product capabilities and to handle increasing scale.
  • Have built or prototyped LLM-powered workflows using inference providers like OpenAI
  • Care deeply about the end user experience and take pride in building products to solve customer needs.
  • Have a humble attitude, an eagerness to help your colleagues, and a desire to do whatever it takes to make the team succeed.
  • Own problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done.
