About the role

  • Independent responsibility for international material procurement
  • Participation in negotiating framework agreements nationally and internationally
  • Optimization of the supplier portfolio
  • Evaluation of quotations and value-analysis assessments
  • Monitoring and tracking delivery dates
  • Maintenance of the ERP system: creation and upkeep of master data
  • Creation and maintenance of articles and bills of materials
  • Point of contact for suppliers regarding inquiries and orders
  • Material planning and inventory optimization
  • Processing and reviewing design documentation – interface between engineering and production
  • Preparation and review of bills of materials and work plans

Requirements

  • Successfully completed technical vocational training
  • Knowledge in machining, welding and assembly techniques
  • Proficient in MS Office and experienced with ERP systems
  • Good communication skills and a hands-on mentality
  • Confident reading of technical drawings
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Prior knowledge and experience in shipbuilding/hydraulics advantageous
