About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete quality checks and execute day-to-day VDC project deliverables and processes
Communicate with internal and external project teams
Facilitate meetings to resolve project issues and review schedules or project documentation
Assign responsible parties for issue resolution and verify and document resolutions with meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models
Utilize 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges
Utilize reality capture technology, including laser scanning and drones, to support project deliverables
Combine building discipline models into a coordination model
Review coordination models for constructability issues using clash detection capabilities
Participate in BU office and department activities, including orientation, training sessions, and peer group meetings
Support 1–3 VDC deliverables under supervision
Protect and promote the interests of Gilbane and the client
Demonstrate the personal characteristics of a developing leader

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM), or a related field
0–3 years of VDC Coordination experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong time-management and analytical skills
Strong knowledge and proficiency with BIM design software, including Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign
Basic understanding of construction documentation
Knowledge of construction systems
Receptive and inquisitive about design concepts and integrated building components and systems
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Knowledge of Baseline and Enterprise VDC standards
Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
