About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Business Group Leader in refining and enhancing the US Central Asset Transition Market Strategy for Asset Retirement
  • Assist with developing new GHD clients in the Properties and Buildings Market
  • Develop an opportunity pipeline for potential Asset Transition projects
  • Build and manage a strong, balanced Asset Transition team aligned with the US Central Asset Transition Strategy
  • Plan and manage project delivery using an appropriate project management methodology
  • Lead large project teams or multiple small- to medium-sized teams; define project vision, communicate outcomes, coordinate activities, and develop team capability through training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints, escalating and resolving concerns as appropriate
  • Deliver baseline assessments and post-implementation analyses to evaluate and track business benefit realization
  • Drive innovation and collaboration across business units through multistakeholder solutions, idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons
  • Communicate and implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team
  • Develop personal capabilities through assessment, development planning, training, coaching, ongoing education, conferences, and specialist media
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans and positive stakeholder relationships
  • Plan and lead information gathering, analysis, and stakeholder consultation activities; define, negotiate, and agree on project deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Over 10 years to 15 years of broad and deep experience providing expert competence
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards
  • Team-building skills
  • Existing relationships with clients, prospects, and regulators
  • Ability to plan and manage project portfolios
  • Ability to lead large or multiple project teams
  • Ability to manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints
  • Ability to conduct baseline assessments and post-implementation analyses
  • Ability to develop stakeholder engagement plans and define project deliverables
