About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage projects end-to-end related to the environment and the mining sector, from planning through delivery.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients and stakeholders, and ensure quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.
  • Contribute to strategic sector development, team leadership, and strengthening business relationships.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise the execution of projects in the mining environment.
  • Ensure project compliance with regulatory requirements and the firm's quality standards.
  • Lead internal technical teams and external consultants within a multidisciplinary framework. Monitor budgets, schedules, deliverables, and contracts to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and develop junior talent through coaching and knowledge transfer.
  • Actively participate in business development: identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, giving presentations, and client retention. Develop service offerings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and partners for projects under your responsibility.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in engineering (environmental, geological, mining, civil, or related).
  • Licensed member in good standing of a professional engineering association (e.g., OIQ).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including management of large-scale projects in the mining and environmental sectors.
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Microsoft Office suite, ERP).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingualism (French and English*) required, both spoken and written.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.
  • Experience with international projects or with major mining companies.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulatory frameworks (Canada and/or international).
  • Experience preparing environmental impact assessments (EIA), closure plans, or environmental audits.
