About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Digital product and service design: Support others by carrying out prescribed design activities using existing procedures.
  • Product and solution development: Support others by conducting a range of activities related to product research and development, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.
  • Software application maintenance: Monitor and identify software defects and propose fixes for review and approval by more senior colleagues to keep software applications fully operational.
  • Quality assurance testing: Perform a specific set of complex tests to verify that specifications are met and to reject non-conforming materials or items.
  • Machine or equipment operation: Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting various parameters to achieve the best possible quality and productivity. Also responsible for finding solutions to complex inefficiency issues.
  • Data collection and analysis: Produce accurate reports on request by collecting data from various standardized information sources and entering it into preformatted tables.
  • Solution analysis: Determine the most effective ways to meet common functional requests, involving adherence to procedures and precedents.
  • Operational compliance: Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures as well as relevant codes and regulations to ensure work complies with standards. Obtain supervisor or manager approval for any exceptions to mandatory procedures.
  • Personal capacity building: Develop your skills by participating in evaluation and development planning activities, as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Maintain an understanding of relevant technologies, external regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing training, conference attendance, and trade publications.

  • DEC (College Diploma) in Civil Engineering or other equivalent and relevant qualification
  • More than 10 years of experience in road design and transportation projects
  • Must be highly proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads and Civil 3D
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Bluebeam
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with various project stakeholders (engineers, technicians, clients, etc.)
  • Teamwork is an asset
