About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the preparation of service proposals and technical memos.
  • Participate in challenging projects from feasibility through construction.
  • Interact with design and construction teams by establishing and maintaining relationships that promote optimal performance.
  • Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify potential impacts on the business.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships to support the growth of our Tunnel group.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for the team in a technical, policy, regulatory, or operational management area.
  • Manage key client relationships.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, complemented by a strong team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec; recognition of the engineering title/license in other Canadian provinces and the United States is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical, geological engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree in engineering with a specialization in tunnel/structure, soil/rock–structure interaction, and/or geostructural design is an asset.
  • Minimum of 20 years of professional experience, including at least 15 years on underground and tunnel projects.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a multidisciplinary design team for large tunnel/underground works projects.
  • Proven ability to lead the delivery of detailed design for complex tunnel projects.
  • Experience delivering design-build projects, public-private partnerships, or other alternative financing and procurement models, including a detailed understanding of the preparation and interpretation of project-specific specifications.
  • Thorough knowledge of the construction and design market for underground works and the various stakeholders, such as owners/clients and local and international contractors specializing in underground construction.
  • Recognized experience leading the detailed design and construction of complex tunnel projects for major infrastructure programs.
  • Extensive experience across multiple types of tunnel projects.
