Environmental Project Coordinator
GHDEnvironmental Project Coordinator managing assessments and remediation in the oil & gas industry. Collaborating with a high performing team to deliver environmental solutions in Alberta with a hybrid work model.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Planning and execution of engineering and scientific solutions to bring sites to closure through assessment, remediation and/or risk assessment
- Participate in a team environment working closely with other Project Coordinators, Project Managers (PMs), Project Directors (PDs) and Technical Leads
- Provide effective field and office mentoring of junior environmental practitioners
- Assist PMs and PDs from proposal through to execution
- Engage with industry networks to enhance client experience
- Maintain health, safety, quality and environment key performance indicators (KPIs) and behaviors
- Drive a culture of innovation across business units
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 to 7 years of experience with contaminated site assessments, remediation and reclamation
- Bachelor and/or master's degree in environmental science, engineering or related discipline
- Working knowledge in the oil & gas industry considered an asset
- Registration with a professional designation in Alberta (e.g. P.Eng or P.Geo or P.Ag) is an asset
- Expertise in field assessments, technical reporting and project management
- Knowledge of provincial and federal legislation and regulatory requirements surrounding contaminated sites in Alberta
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational ability
- Strong communication and writing skills with a collaborative mindset
- Valid driver's license
