About the role

  • We are seeking an experienced Kotlin/Java Developer with strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our technology team.
  • The professional will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable Java applications and integrating them with AWS cloud services.
  • We are looking for someone passionate about technology, skilled at solving complex problems, and experienced in cloud environments.
  • Develop, test and maintain back-end applications in Java 17+ and Kotlin, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Design and implement AWS solutions using services such as messaging with Kafka and SQS, serverless with Lambda and Step Functions, DevOps with GitHub Actions and Terraform, and AWS cloud services: DynamoDB, Step Functions, Lambda, ECS, ECR, S3, SQS, SNS, Batch, Glue; observability with Datadog, Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Integrate Java applications with cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficiency and security.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate build, deployment and monitoring processes using CI/CD and other tools.
  • Ensure code quality through practices such as code reviews, automated testing and the application of design patterns.
  • Monitor, optimize and maintain AWS services and resources to ensure high availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with other developers and stakeholders to align business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from conception to production.

Requirements

  • Solid experience developing with Java 17+/Kotlin, including frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate or Java EE.
  • Proficiency in AWS, with hands-on experience in services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SSM, among others.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and service-oriented development practices (SOA).
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration, such as Docker, EKS and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Ability to solve complex problems efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields.
  • AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred).
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) (preferred).
  • Knowledge of cloud security and data protection best practices (preferred).
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs (preferred).
  • Contributions to open source projects or participation in technical communities (preferred).
