About the role

  • IT training covering the following topics: setting up an IT workstation (hardware and software)
  • Introduction to network technology (network topologies, network components, networking devices, protocols, OSI layer models)
  • Server fundamentals; current server and client operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Virtualization; cloud computing
  • PowerShell
  • IT security (types of attacks, firewalls, DMZ, encryption, VPN, antivirus and removal)
  • Data protection (GDPR) and data security

Requirements

  • Teaching experience in adult education (proof required), ideally in publicly funded training programs
  • Completed vocational training in IT, a degree in computer science, or an equivalent qualification
  • IHK trainer aptitude certificate (AEVO) or willingness to obtain this certification
  • Current vendor certifications, e.g., Microsoft Azure (AZ-104) or Linux Essentials
