About the role

  • Continuously analyze SIQAS processes with a view to their improvement;
  • Organize and update documents applicable to SIQAS, in cooperation with all departments;
  • Align activities with applicable legal and other requirements, monitor key processes, and coordinate the response process to emergency situations resulting from the application of SIQAS;
  • Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements;
  • Promote planning of changes to the SIQAS;
  • Collaborate with the Management Committee in preparing and monitoring the Annual Quality, Environment and Safety Plan and its revisions;
  • Guide the team of internal auditors by planning and monitoring internal audits in accordance with the SIQAS Annual Internal Audit Program, as well as managing the related procedures — from preparing reports and recording actions arising from findings and/or improvement suggestions to closing the cycle for each internal audit;
  • Act as the liaison with external entity(ies), such as certification bodies or other external organizations, among others in matters of OHS & Environment;
  • Prepare and validate hazard identification documents and Risk Assessments and ensure their dissemination and updating;
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential workplace hazards;
  • Develop and implement action plans to mitigate identified risks;
  • Ensure that the infrastructure department verifies that all safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, alarms and signage, are properly installed and functional as legally required;
  • Promote compliance with legal and regulatory safety standards applicable to the industrial sector in which the company operates;
  • Raise employee awareness about the importance of correct use of PPE and compliance with safety rules;
  • Participate in investigations of workplace accidents and incidents to identify causes and propose corrective measures;
  • Prepare accident reports, including root cause analyses and prevention recommendations;
  • Enforce the emergency plan and coordinate simulation exercises.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19011, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001;
  • Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems for Quality, Environment and Safety;
  • Good user-level computer skills;
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
