About the role

  • Design & Development: Develop backend services and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Build and optimize serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
  • Integrate AWS services (EC2, S3, Connect) into application workflows.
  • Work with Kafka and SQL databases for data streaming and persistence.
  • Collaboration & Delivery: Partner with architects, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into high-performance, scalable, and secure applications.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Support deployments and ensure CI/CD best practices are followed.
  • Innovation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize cloud costs, performance, and scalability.
  • Recommend adoption of modern cloud-native tools and technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4.5+ years in Java backend development with cloud exposure.
  • Strong expertise in Java backend development and hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Core Skills: Java, AWS Lambda, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot.
  • AWS Services: EC2, S3, AWS Connect.
  • Database/Streaming: SQL, Kafka.
  • Additional Skills: JavaScript (for integration).
  • Preferred: Prior experience in enterprise-scale applications deployed on AWS.
  • Preferred: Exposure to global client projects and distributed team environments.
  • Preferred: Certifications in AWS or Java technologies.
  • Hands-on knowledge of modern monitoring tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, etc.).
  • Experience: 6+ Years (role states 6+ years experience desired; minimum 4.5+ years elsewhere).
