About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and implement sales strategies to achieve the credit union’s growth and revenue goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, business owners, and key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to attract new members and deepen existing member relationships
  • Represent the credit union at community events, networking functions, and business meetings
  • Collaborate with marketing, member services, and product development teams
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and member needs
  • Ensure the sales team delivers exceptional service and tailored financial solutions
  • Ensure sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and credit union policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales management, community outreach, or business development, preferably within financial services
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving sales targets
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data and market trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and community needs is a plus
  • Ability to communicate face to face or through technology
  • Ability to sit and stand for various increments of time and lift/push up to 10 lbs
  • Compliance with SAFE Act requirements for lending responsibilities
  • Current NMLS registration must be maintained where applicable; changes must be reported to the Credit Union within 30 days
