About the role
- Developing, managing, and growing relationships with dealers in Georgia’s Own indirect lending network (Automobile, Marine and RV)
- Serving as the primary liaison between the Credit Union and its dealer partners
- Ensuring quality loan volume, adherence to lending guidelines, and mutually beneficial performance outcomes
- Actively seeking out new dealership partners to expand Georgia’s Own reach and drive strategic loan growth
- Maintaining strong, professional relationships through frequent communication – both in person and by phone
- Providing training and ongoing support to dealership staff on the Credit Union’s products and processes
- Addressing any issues or concerns raised by dealerships
- Collaborating with Lending Administration to ensure credit policy alignment and loan quality
- Actively working with dealer partners and internal staff to ensure that approved loans are captured and funded according to established expectations
- Monitoring dealer performance and proactively addressing issues related to loan quality, funding delays, or documentation gaps
- Driving volume growth through strategic dealer engagement while maintaining portfolio quality
- Completing required dealer reviews and reports, constantly keeping a pulse of active dealers
- Representing Georgia’s Own at industry events and dealership-sponsored activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or related field preferred, but not required
- Minimum 5 years of management or sales experience within a financial institution required, with indirect lending field preferred
- Must be willing and able to travel regularly within the assigned region (approximately 50 – 75% of the time)
- Strong presence and professionalism in face-to-face interactions
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence dealer behavior
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good sales skills in talking with dealers is a plus
- Ability to work occasional Saturdays to support sales events, or promotional activities based on business needs
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in applying credit risk principles to lending recommendations
- Understanding of financial services related products and overall financial services operations
- Fluent in English required and Spanish preferred.
