About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and improve product capabilities for enterprise customers using Geordie’s AI agent visibility, governance, and risk platform
- Own service reliability by defining service health, instrumenting services, and acting on operational data
- Improve observability, alerting, and incident response practices
- Strengthen infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and automation, including infrastructure as code and repeatable deployments
- Respond to customer requests and unblock the Go to Market team
- Improve engineering processes and ways of working
- Collaboratively discuss, design, and iterate solutions with business stakeholders and customers
- Refactor internal systems, reduce operational toil, and streamline customer workflows
- Participate in the on-call rota and implement lasting improvements after incidents
- Learn and explore AI agents and agent risks
- Drive the technical direction of the product, platform, and engineering practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluent coding ability in at least one of Java, Python, TypeScript, or Rust
- Ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases
- Led delivery of several significant production-grade software projects, including greenfield and existing software estate work
- Experience participating in on-call for important production systems, debugging incidents, and implementing improvements afterward
- Knowledge of common software vulnerabilities and secure software development
- Comfort with AWS and cloud environments
- Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and containers
- Knowledge of observability using metrics, logs, traces, and meaningful alerts
- High ownership, adaptability, and willingness to work in fast-moving environments
- Familiarity with AI agents, workflow orchestration, or operational automation using modern AI tooling
