About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor the JCO operational chat and teleconference continuously throughout your 8-hour shift; acknowledge taskers within 30 minutes and brief your planned course-of-action with timelines
Interpret natural language queries from JCO operators; search across USG data repositories and commercial feeds — including imagery, RF data, AIS, weather, fire data, news, and social media — to generate concise summaries of findings
Conduct real-time research on blue, red, and gray overhead collection capabilities, data, and analytical results to build contextual awareness for ongoing operations
Enable rapid tip-and-cue operations across providers — surfacing technical details on activities, personnel, or objects that may affect ongoing operational activities
Identify data and analytic coverage gaps explicitly so operators can task follow-on collection with the right requirements
Provide behavioral analysis support based on publicly available information; conduct mission-focused open research as operational tempo allows
Publish data and processed products to JCO-designated databases in compliant formats; submit products machine-to-machine via designated submission services

Requirements

What you’ll need

US citizenship required
Demonstrated experience in search, aggregation, retrieval, and analysis across multi-source data environments — including commercial imagery, RF data, AIS, open-source, social media, and/or environmental feeds
Experience conducting real-time or near-real-time research and analysis in a live operational or watch-floor environment
Ability to interpret natural language operational queries and translate them into structured data searches across heterogeneous sources
Experience with publicly available information (PAI) research and behavioral analysis
Ability to work a defined shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 8.5 hours including 30-minute break) and maintain continuous chat/teleconference presence during shift hours
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable remote work environment capable of supporting secure teleconference operations
Strong written communication skills; ability to produce concise, well-structured analytical summaries under operational time pressure.
