About the role

  • Collaborating in a team of six Nurse Unit Managers across Queensland, driving excellence in clinical service planning and management
  • Engaging with referring clinicians and services to streamline patient pathways and promote our radiation therapy offerings
  • Set SMART performance goals with your team and provide the leadership and support needed to achieve them
  • Participating in the recruitment and selection of nursing staff, helping build a high-performing team
  • Partnering with marketing and liaison teams to support education and awareness campaigns
  • Lead and contribute to project initiatives, including participation in strategic project groups
  • Support staff in education, research, and professional development opportunities
  • Confidently navigate our electronic clinical prescribing system
  • Collaborate with Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists, Radiation Oncologists, Nurses, and Allied Health teams to foster a strong team culture and deliver coordinated, high-quality care
  • Be part of a supportive leadership team that values your expertise and empowers you to make a meaningful impact
  • Promote a workplace culture where connection, support, and shared purpose are central to daily practice

Requirements

  • Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Proven leadership experience with a strong ability to manage people and drive team performance
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy for patients and their carers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS
  • Passion for delivering high-quality patient care
  • Ability to create an environment that nurtures staff potential
  • Postgraduate qualifications or experience in management or healthcare administration (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate change management (Desirable)
